- Minimum 4 years experience
- Involvement in engineering design projects from concept through to completion
- Knowledge of methods for the design of safe systems using hazard analysis techniques (e.g. Energy and Toxicity analysis, FMEA, etc.)
- Knowledge of a variety of different materials and fabrication techniques, particularly welding and machining processes
- Demonstrated skills in SolidWorks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent organisational skills and work ethic

3D GENERALIST / ANIMATOR / DESIGNER
Work with and lead our small, existing team of Electrical Engineers and Drafters. You will be involved in all aspects of Electrical Engineering; from clearly documenting design, to developing electrical systems, and actively participating in the commissioning & testing of the product.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Experience leading a team of Electrical Engineers
- Minimum of 10 years demonstrated electrical engineering experience in the production of controls & power distribution systems for machinery, with involvement in the electrical design from concept through to completion.
- Experience in wiring design for machines and developing wiring schematics
- Knowledge of methods for the design of safe systems using hazard analysis techniques (e.g. FMEA, HRA etc.).
- Knowledge of safe design for machinery (AS4024, IEC 13849)
- Experience with a range of industrial motion equipment including electric and hydraulic servo design highly regarded
- Established skills in project management
- Relevant software applications, notably CAE design programs, Eplan Electric P8, and SolidWorks 3D, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of PLC control systems
- Knowledge of battery powered mobile equipment and/or portable power systems
- Experience with designing to international standards. UL 508A Highly regarded.
- Conduct minor electrical fabrication (fault finding to component level)
- Strong communication skills including the ability to elicit requirements from clients and colleagues and interpret the implications from a ‘real world’ perspective.

CAD DRAFTER (SOLIDWORKS & PDM EXPERIENCE)
The CAD Drafter is responsible for undertaking timely, efficient, quality Mechanical engineering CAD drafting work on Creature Technology Co. (CTC) projects.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrated capacity for high-quality, timely engineering CAD drafting in the production of machinery.
- Highly experienced SolidWorks Drafter.
- Experience in the production of engineering drawings to drafting standards such as AS1100.
- Experience with large drawing package releases (e.g. several hundred drawings).
- Knowledge & experience with automation of drafting tasks using MS Excel & Visual Basic highly desirable.
- SolidWorks PDM administration experience and formal training highly desirable.
- Knowledge of a variety of different materials and fabrication techniques, particularly welding and machining processes.
- Good communication skills including the ability to elicit requirements from clients and colleagues and interpret the implications from a ‘real world’ perspective.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work well within a team, collaborating and consulting with subject matter experts.

CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER
We are a looking for a highly skilled individual to work with our established team of Controls Engineers on the design, development, documentation and testing of our C-Tech control system product. This role involves significant amounts of programming in object-oriented languages, and would suit someone with a strong programming background.
Working with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, you will be involved in all aspects of Control Systems Engineering; from clearly documenting system design, developing control system software, and actively participating in the commissioning & testing of the product.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Control Systems Engineering with involvement in projects from concept to completion.
- A self-starter skilled in industrial control system software applications and programming languages such as SQL, C#, Python.
- Familiarity with object-oriented development methodologies and SQL databases
- Familiarity with software development support tools such as Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Trello and Confluence
- Experience with Beckhoff industrial controllers, TwinCAT 3 software, Ignition SCADA platform.
- Demonstrated experience with motion control systems including hydraulic, electric and servo actuation.
- Demonstrated understanding of Machine Functional Safety.

DELIVERY LEAD
We are a looking for a Delivery Lead to manage the development of our creature control software product. The project is well advanced and would suit an experienced Agile/Scrum specialist who can step into an existing role and get up to speed very quickly.
The software project intersects with a number of other projects, all running concurrently, and there are dependencies both ways. Strong management and communication skills are essential as regular reporting to senior stakeholders on the CTC and client side is a part of this role.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Minimum of 5 years experience in in the delivery of software-based products to an Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Familiarity with software development support tools such as Jira, Bitbucket and Confluence.

TECHNICAL ARTIST
Creature Technology Co. is looking for a Technical Artist.
The Technical Artist is responsible for supporting the creative intent of Creature Technology Co. projects with technical solutions and tools.
CORE DUTIES
- Rig creatures, working with engineers to achieve accurate results
- Create and maintain rigs using proprietary rig-building pipeline
- Participate in code review process with other team members
- Advancing procedural workflows
- Project-specific tools and methods
- Creation of technical assets to aid design
- Process review and documentation
- General support for the other departments where CG/CAD/Code can help with their production tasks
- Take active responsibility for own Occupational Health and Safety and assist to maintain a safe and healthy workplace at CTC more broadly
- Comply with Creature Technology’s policies and procedures and with relevant legislation and regulations
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrated experience of CG asset creation and FX within a production environment.
- Strong communication skills and effective at communicating with different audiences - designers, engineers, managers etc.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask
- Problem-solving abilities
- Python experience (3+ years)
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, especially subclassing and abstract classesPipeline experience with Maya and other 3rd party tools
- Real-time project creation (Unreal and Unity)
- Organized workflow and thorough documentation (latter can be using Confluence)
- Ability to identify areas where technical tools can save time or produce a better Animated Figure
